This document is the official presentation slide deck (PPT) based on research published by the SETARA Institute on January 15, 2018, titled “Leading the Promotion of Tolerance: Report on the State of Freedom of Religion or Belief and Religious Minorities in Indonesia, 2017”.

It records 155 incidents involving 201 types of violations of the right to freedom of religion or belief. This figure reflects a decrease compared to the previous year. This presentation includes a geographic map (showing the provinces with the highest number of cases, such as West Java and DKI Jakarta), a categorization of state and non-state actors, a classification of types of actions (such as the enforcement of religious dress codes, expulsions, and criminalization), as well as historical data from the past 11 years regarding disruptions to places of worship of various religions in Indonesia.
