Indonesia Social Inclusion Index (IISI) 2024 eBook

This document is a comprehensive research report published by SETARA Institute in January 2025 entitled “Indonesia Social Inclusion Index (IISI) 2024: Advancing the Social Inclusion Development Agenda in Indonesia“. The publication of this report was supported by the Australia–Indonesia Partnership Towards an Inclusive Society (INKLUSI) program.

The report presents an in-depth assessment of the level of social inclusion across 24 sample regions in Indonesia—including cities and regencies such as Denpasar, Makassar, and East Lombok—throughout 2024. The primary objective of the IISI 2024 is to measure and map the extent to which marginalized and vulnerable groups—including women, persons with disabilities, children, Indigenous peoples, and religious and social minorities—are able to enjoy equal fulfillment of their rights, accessibility, participation, and benefits from social, cultural, economic, and political development. The index was designed as an evidence-based tool to support both national and local governments in formulating more inclusive and non-discriminatory development policies.
