This document is a Policy Document (Policy Document) published by the SETARA Institute in May 2024, titled “Accelerating the Adoption of Regional Action Plans on the Prevention and Countering of Violent Extremism Leading to Terrorism”.
This vi + 51-page policy document was compiled by Sayyidatul Insiyah as a strategic and advocacy guide for local governments (provinces, regencies, and cities) in Indonesia. The document focuses on measures to accelerate the formulation and implementation of the Regional Action Plan for the Prevention and Countering of Violent Extremism (RAD PE). This is based on the mandate of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 7 of 2021 on the National Action Plan for the Prevention and Countering of Violent Extremism Leading to Terrorism (RAN PE). This document underscores the importance of meaningful community participation (meaningful participation) as well as the protection of vulnerable groups—such as women, children, youth, students, and religious minorities—in local-level extremism prevention programs.
